On the morning of September 3ed, Labor Day, we flew from San Francisco to Vancouver, BC. We arrived at the Vancouver International Airport and, after clearing customs, had to wait for our bus to the Cruise ship terminal in downtown Vancouver.

Our ship was the Sun Princess. It was 157.2 feet long and 105.8 feet wide and drew 26' 7.5". It had 1950 passengers and 900 crew. It's cruising speed was 20.0 knots and it could make a top speed of 22.5 knots.

We set sail at approximately 5:30pm and passed out through the Lion's Gate Bridge at 6:13pm.

We sailed away from the city and through the Canadian Inside Passage on the 4th of September. The weather was rainy and overcast so there was nothing particularly photogenic until we reached Ketchikan on the morning of September 5th.
