The first week in March, we did a thaw out vacation from Antarctica at the Four Seasons Hualalai on Hawaii's big Island. We've been there a number of times and got our favorite room.

Two Year Anniversary of Knee Surgery
March 6 marked Jon's two year anniversary of bilateral total knee replacements. He is playing tennis, hiking, and back to full mobility now. He is really glad he had the surgery.
DOD Fellows at Amazon
At the end of March, Jon travelled to Seattle with the DOD Fellows to visit Amazon. In addition to executive briefings in the Day One Amazon Headquartersbuilding (demonstrating the culture of a true customer company), we got lunch at the Amazon Go store, toured the Amazon Spheres, visited the Alexa Smart Home model, and toured the Amazon Fulfillment center in Kent Washington. As an added bonus, we toured Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos space company, an interesting contrast to SpaceX.
