January 2021

January 2021 is a good time to put a truly terrible 2020 behind us. It stared with some good news as our first family member, Sara, got vaccinated for COVID-19. Most of January was pretty nice - temps even got up into the 80s over MLK day, but the month ended with lots of rain. We were planning to go to Sea Ranch at the end of the month but Sonoma County's COVID numbers were such that they prohibited vacation rentals.

Sara Vaccinated

The first good news of the year is that Jon's youngest sister, Sara, a nurse at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, got her COVID-19 vaccination. Health care workers are first priority and, we hope, the rest of us can get vaccinated soon.

Flight to Healdsburg

On Martin Luther King day weekend, Jon flew his Cirrus from Petaluma (O69) to Healdsburg Airport (KHES) for its annual inspection. The flight was a short one - about 15 minutes, and he flew over the Santa Rosa Airport. He did a left downwind departure from the Petaluma 11 runway and a right 45 arrival to the Healdsburg 13 Runway. He mounted a gopro Max camera on the dash to take 360 video. The video is interactive. You can look around while flying in a 360 view - as if you were there in the plane!
