September 2022

In September, we stuck close to home and prepared for our October trip to Bhutan. We did do a few fun things, though.

Richmond San Rafael Bridge Night Ride

In early September, Jon and his friend Jeremy did a night ride over the Richmond-San Rafael bridge. The ride was sponsored by the Marin County Bicycle Coalition and was intended to be a full-moon ride. Unfortunately, the night was overcast and we did not get to see the full moon, but the ride was fun anyway. Check out the 360 video below to get a sense of what the ride was like. Also, check out the daytime ride that Jon did in July.

Hoo Koo E Koo Hike

The Monday after the bike ride, Jon did a bike hike on the side of Mt. Tamelpias. He started in Mill Valley up the Old Railroad Grade and then across the Hoo Koo E Koo fire road and trail, then the Blythedale Ridge and Horseshoe Fire Roads back to Mill Valley. The views were spectacular but it was a bit hazy.

Men's Tennis Barbeque

Rolling Hills Club sponsored a barbeque for Jon's men's tennis group. We had a great turnout to play and enjoy beer and burgers provided by the club.
